Orientation and Capacity Building Training to HRWG and Local level stakeholders Completed at Banke

INSEC province no 5, Nepalgunj office organized orientation and capacity building training for Human Right Watch Group (HRWG) and Local elected representatives on August 6 and 7 at Koholpur Nepalgunj. In the opening session Bhola Mahat, INSEC province no 5 coordinator shared objectives of the program. He focused on the importance of common understanding among elected representatives, bureaucrats and Human Right Watch Group members to provide effective and easy access services to public. Two days training was facilitated by Advocate Sunil Shrestha, Advocate Basanta Gautam, Prakash Uppdhaya, Bhola Mahat INSEC Coordinator and Saraswoti Malla Program Focal Person.

All together 21 participants including elected representatives, staff of Education office, Agriculture and Health offices and Human Right Watch Group members from Janaki Rural Municipality and Baijanath Rural Municipality participated in the programme.

Participants were oriented about INSEC’s movement, concept of Human Right especially right to education, right to food and right to Health, legal procedures and policies, insure points by the constitution, gaps on the implementation of the policies on the related sector on first day. In the second day, Participants identified problems of their community relating to ESC rights. Elected Representatives and related stakeholders commitment to address the identified gaps, including in their action plan.
