A 20th general assembly of Informal Sector Service Center( INSEC) has concluded in lalitpur on June 11, 2016. The assembly has elected Subodh Raj Pyakurel as a chairman for another three years along with Ramesh Poudel, Indira Shrestha, Rudra Bahadur Charmakar, Nilam Sekhar Adhikari and Geeta Baral as working committee members. The working committee meeting will decide later about the division of member’s designation and selection of one member.
The general assembly has also passed 16-point proposal on contemporary issues along with the progressive implementation of constitution. The passed proposals demanded for enforcement of law with the participation of stakeholders including INSEC, commencing the election of local level, state assembly and federal judiciary as per the constitution until February 2018 and early forming of commissions imagined by the constitution for the effective implementation of new constitution.
Similarly, the proposal includes the protest on institutionalised interference on civil and political rights by various groups and violation of Human Rights. It also urged the government and judiciary parliament to work on protecting basic Human Rights of the people and ending impunity along with the control of ill practice prevailing in market. It also urged government to ensure and protect the consumer’s human rights.
