23rd Prakash Human Rights Award to Senior citizen Campaigner Dr Gauri Shankar Lal Das
Informal Sector Service Center(INSEC) has decided to honor senior citizen campaigner Dr Gauri Shankar Lal Das with “23rd Prakash Human Rights Award”. The working committee meeting held by INSEC on July 26 had decided to confer Dr Das with the award for his active participation and contribution in Human rights and social justice from the last seven decades.
Dr Das, during a program on July 31 in Lalitpur, will be honored in a chairmanship of chief guest K.P Oli, a former prime minister and chairman of CPN UML.
Prior to this, 22 personalities have already been conferred with “Prakash Human Rights Award”. The award was established in 1994. The award consists of cash prize of Rs 50,000.
